They open fully down the front for maximum airflow, in addition to the cover being made from light breathable cotton muslin. The front can be quickly closed with magnetic snaps as needed.

We recommend always using the cover fully open when your baby is sleeping, so you can closely monitor your baby and ensure sufficient airflow.

Please note these are not for use in the car.
